Outpatient Program for
Professionals and Executives
At Providence Treatment, we have developed an outpatient rehab environment that is comfortable, confidential, and designed exclusively for high-profile professionals and executives. Knowing that this population faces severe stressors and time management challenges, our highly trained team of clinicians and credentialed specialists have developed an accessible outpatient treatment program that leads to increased awareness, insight into core issues, and a sustainable recovery. To achieve this goal, we recommend a variable length of time decided by the participant’s therapist/treatment team and the participant’s communication regarding their progress in treatment and whether treatment goals have been met. We have comprehensive outpatient rehab facilities in Boston and Philadelphia to better serve our communities.
Less intense than PHP or IOP, our Professionals Program is designed for:
- Refining & maintaining daily recovery practices
- Reflecting on personal & interpersonal changes
- Reintegrating into the workplace
- Developing healthy communication
- Managing conflicts
- Avoiding triggers
- Grief and Loss

Why Outpatient Treatment
Works for Professionals
We customize our Professionals Program to the needs of busy professionals with substance use disorders and struggling with mood and other behavioral health concerns. It is common for executives and high-profile individuals to struggle with one or more co-occurring disorders during treatment, so Providence provides evidence-based therapies and medication management with this in mind.
Additional benefits of the Professionals Program include:
Schedule flexibility: Schedule flexibility is a cornerstone of the outpatient addiction treatment services offered at Providence Treatment. We understand that our clients lead busy lives, often juggling demanding work schedules and personal commitments. That’s why our program is designed to accommodate the unique needs of working professionals, allowing them to reside at home and continue their employment while actively engaging in their recovery journey.
Home support: Home support plays a vital role in the journey of recovery for clients enrolled in Providence Treatment’s outpatient addiction program. We recognize the importance of a stable support network, and we actively encourage our clients to lean on their family and friends for encouragement, guidance, and emotional support throughout their rehabilitation journey.
Privacy & confidentiality: Since men and women participate in a normal schedule during outpatient treatment, it is easier to be discreet about drug or alcohol rehab. And, of course, Providence professionals are committed to maintaining your privacy at every treatment phase.
Access to alternative modalities: By offering access to alternative modalities, we empower our clients to explore diverse avenues of healing and discover what works best for them on their journey to recovery. Our goal is to provide a supportive and nurturing environment where individuals can explore, experiment, and ultimately find the combination of therapies that resonate most deeply with their unique needs and preferences. At Providence Treatment, we are committed to helping our clients heal on all levels—body, mind, and spirit.
Hybrid participation: For clients who prefer the convenience and comfort of receiving treatment from the comfort of their own homes, our telehealth platform provides a seamless and effective way to engage in therapy sessions, group meetings, and other program activities. Through secure video conferencing technology, clients can connect with their therapists and peers, participate in group discussions, and access the support they need to progress in their recovery journey.

The Providence Difference
Providence Treatment offers specialized outpatient addiction treatment services designed specifically for working professionals. Our program has been meticulously vetted and improved to meet the unique needs of healthcare professionals, and we are proud to be approved by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to work with airline pilots. Our services cater to a diverse range of professionals, including pilots, nurses, doctors, lawyers, dentists, and veterinarians.
We understand the importance of evidence-based treatment modalities tailored to the professional demographic we serve. Our group therapy sessions are specifically designed to address the challenges and stressors commonly faced by professionals in high-pressure careers. Through our Cohort Setting, clients can connect and relate to others in treatment who share similar experiences of navigating demanding jobs and hectic schedules.
Our outpatient program welcomes professionals at various stages of their careers. We offer a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) with the length assessed weekly based on individual client needs. For those ready to reintegrate into their professional roles, we provide Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) sessions in the evenings on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
Providence Treatment recently expanded its services to Boston in response to the growing need for specialized professional programs in Massachusetts. With the largest impaired physician population in the country, Massachusetts lacked comprehensive programs tailored to the unique needs of medical professionals. Our Boston location joins our established facility in Philadelphia, which first opened its doors in 2019.
At Providence Treatment, we prioritize collaboration with medical professionals and employers to ensure the safe and timely return of our clients to their workplaces. We work closely with healthcare providers and employers to assess readiness for return to work, emphasizing the importance of ongoing support and monitoring to maintain long-term recovery and professional success. We recommend a one-year commitment to all clients during the pre-admission intake process, ensuring comprehensive support throughout their recovery journey.
